During the month of March, and culminating at our March 10, 2018 concert, the Arapahoe Philharmonic will be collecting non-perishable food items as part of the League of American Orchestra’s Orchestras Feeding America program. All food collected will support the food bank efforts provided by Jewish Family Services. Our orchestra will be joining with hundreds of others across the country to help ensure no one goes hungry in our communities.

The Orchestras Feeding America program was inspired by the film The Soloist, starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey, Jr. The movie was based on the true story of the relationship between Los Angeles Times columnist Steve Lopez and Nathaniel Anthony Ayers, a gifted Juilliard-trained string player whose mental illness landed him among the homeless on the streets of Los Angeles. Featuring the Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Soloist is a testament to the redemptive power of music and a reminder of our connections to the most vulnerable among us.

Please bring a donation of non-perishable food items to our Saturday, March 10, 2018 “A Night at the Movies” concert and help us make an even greater impact in our south metro Denver neighborhoods.
