Meet Phoenix Gayles, soprano

Phoenix GaylesLyric soprano Phoenix Gayles graduated from the University of South Florida with her Masters degree under the direction of Stella Zambalis.  She has appeared on the operatic stage in such roles as Frasquita (Carmen) with Opera Tampa, Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) with Opera Boulder, and Iphigenia (Iphigenia en Aulide) and Micaela (Carmen) with New Century Opera. Ms. Gayles is a resident artist with the Sherrill Milnes Voice Experience and Savannah Voice Festival for the last five years, was a recent Studio Artist for the 2014 Central City Opera Summer Festival and is a proud artist for Opera on Tap Colorado. In 2013, Phoenix won second place in the Rocky Mountain Metropolitan National Council Regionals and was a winner of the Career Bridges Grant in New York City.
