Meet Pianist Patrick Orr!

We are beyond excited to feature 2019 International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival Winner, Patrick Orr on 10/21/22 at 7:30pm for “The Haunting Concert Hall.” Patrick will be playing Rachmaninoff’s gorgeous “Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini” with us. More about Patrick:

A native of Kingman, KS, Patrick Orr (24) began his piano journey at age 10 with local teacher Joan Robinson. By 15, Orr began studying professionally with Dr. Julie Bees at Wichita State University. In the past few years, Orr has won several prizes including a gold medal at the International Keyboard Odyssiad and Festival, placing second in the Mu Phi Epsilon International Young Artist Competition, and has appeared as a semi finalist in both the Wideman and Dallas International Piano Competitions.

Some of Orr’s concerto appearances include performances the Kansas City Symphony, the WSU Symphony, and is very excited to perform Rachmaninoff with Maestro Hughes and Arapahoe Philharmonic.

Orr is also a private piano instructor and an accompanist at Wichita State University. Aside from playing piano, Orr enjoys drawing, journaling, and drinking way too much coffee!

In 2020, Orr graduated with his Bachelor of Music degree in Piano from Wichita State University. Orr is currently applying for graduate programs to continue his musical studies.
