LaGuardia, Director The Symphonic Strings The Symphonic Strings provides advanced string players the opportunity to study, sight-read and perform the great literature written specifically for strings over more than four centuries. The performance schedule for the Symphonic Strings will parallel that of the Symphony including three performances and sessions specifically scheduled for sight-reading. Tracy T. LaGuardia, conductor is the Director of the Symphonic Strings. As with the Symphony, section coaching in preparation for performances will be provided by the principal string player of the Arapahoe Philharmonic. And also as in the Symphony, Symphonic Strings musicians rotate seating in order to de-emphasize competition between players and to facilitate the development of independent musicianship as well as personal confidence.
